Literacy & Multisensory Math Teacher
Full-Time | 10-Month Position


Glenwood Academy is seeking an enthusiastic educator to join our growing team in a unique role that combines Orton-Gillingham literacy tutoring with Lower and Middle School mathematics instruction.


This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping students with learning differences thrive through engaging, individualized instruction. The successful candidate will provide one-on-one and small-group Orton-Gillingham tutoring while supporting math instruction using creative, hands-on, multisensory teaching strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide Orton-Gillingham reading instruction to individual students and small groups.
  • Support Lower and Middle School math through engaging, multisensory instructional approaches.
  • Collaborate with faculty to support individualized student learning plans.
  • Design creative lessons and learning experiences that build confidence, independence, and academic success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (required).
  • Bowman's Orton-Gillingham "PLUS" certification is preferred. Candidates with a strong interest in structured literacy who are willing to complete Bowman's Orton-Gillingham "PLUS" training are encouraged to apply.
