This position focuses heavily on building foundational math skills and mathematical fluency through targeted student support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruction: Provide structured math interventions to small groups or individual students utilizing research-based strategies.
  • Data Tracking: Monitor student progress, keep accurate instructional logs, and collaborate with teaching staff to adjust support as needed.
  • Environment: Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that reduces math anxiety and builds student confidence.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Minimum of an Associate's Degree (or equivalent college credits / passing score on the ParaPro Assessment).
  • Strong foundational math skills and a comfort level teaching elementary/middle school mathematical concepts.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a strong desire to support students who are struggling academically.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: The tutor/Coordinator combined role is $32/hour; the tutor role is $26/hour.  These are 177 day contracts. There are no benefits attached to these positions.
  • Note on Funding: These positions are funded through federal Title I grants. Continued employment is subject to the annual renewal and availability of grant funds.
