Calling all Math Teachers!! Richard Milburn Academy seeks a High School Math Teacher For the 2026/2027 School Year

JOB PURPOSE: To provide professional support for designing and implementing effective mathematics instruction that will enhance learning opportunities for all students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES (include but are not limited to):

1. Implement district-identified mathematics initiatives and curriculum mapping in mathematics using Curriculum Guides and district-adopted textbooks

2. Create and deliver model classroom demonstration lessons

3. Exhibit excellent planning and organizational skills to handle paperwork and recordkeeping tasks in a timely and efficient manner

4. Model the use of technology as a mathematics instructional tool

5. Prepare and maintain accurate reports and all related forms and submit to Principal as required

7. Participate in professional organizations and inservice opportunities to continually update knowledge base

8. Expedite assigned duties with minimal supervision

9. Work as part of a team by establishing and maintaining working relationships that foster efficiency and productivity and promote cooperation with administrators, fellow employees, students, faculty and the public

10. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and teaching skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders and to enhance collaborative decision-making

11. Strong organization, planning, management, and decision-making skills •

12. Ability to implement identified “best practices” in mathematics

13. Ability to implement accelerated learning in mathematics for low achieving students

14. Effective teaching practices, use of adaptive technology, and behavior/classroom management

15. Ability to communicate with school-based and district staff on professional, specific and general areas of exceptional student education

16. Ability to work harmoniously and cooperatively with both professional staff and school community

17. Ability to provide leadership as a member of the instructional team • Ability to use both manipulatives and tools of technology

18. Strong skills and efficiency in record keeping (federal, state, and local compliance and instructional documents)

19. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal
