Assists R&D Manager with day to day tasks as needed. Weigh formula ingredients for individual trials and customer sample. Run pilots for new and/or existing products.

  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Follow and ensure compliance to quality system and cGMP programs.
  • Prep and ship bulk product and samples to send out to customers and outside companies.
  • Tear down, clean and assemble R&D equipment for pilots and necessary trials.
  • Runs encapsulation and/or compression pilots for new and existing products if applicable.
  • Assists other groups within R&D as directed.
  • Keep laboratory notebook up to date and record comments and changes based on pilot results and feedback from R&D Managers.
  • Work closely with warehouse employees to pull, weigh, log and return ingredients from inventory when ingredients are low in the R&D inventory or are needed for pilots or customer samples. Travel to various company locations to pull needed ingredients if applicable. Clean and sanitize sampling or weigh up room after pulling ingredients.
  • Assist QA, production and R&D team when the quality of a product run by production is in question.
  • Provide guidance to Operations and troubleshoot challenge or issues during production.
  • Complete paperwork, communicating cany changed from R&D to production.
  • Complete deviations and/or change orders to Master Manufacturing Records.
  • Assess Raw Materials for use in production.
  • Maintain general organization, cleanliness and inventory of R&D laboratory by organizing materials and ingredients and maintaining related internal spreadsheets.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Non-supervisory role.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year work experience.
  • No certifications or licenses required.
  • Must have moderate math skills.
  • Moderate reading skills required.
  • Must have basic computer skills in MS Office.
  • Must have moderate language skills.
  • Must have moderate writing skills.
  • Must be willing to learn new tasks and procedures.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
  • Maintains a regular and dependable work attendance record with few instances of unplanned and/or unexpected absence
