Job description

Supply Chain and Logistics Warehouse (South Waterfront) and Marquam Hill are our primary medical supply picking and distribution staging points. The Supply Chain and Logistics Warehouse is not your typical warehouse environment due to healthcare customers. Marquam Hill is a healthcare environment with supplies originating from the staging points of the loading docks. This position will report within Supply Chain and Logistics and will report to the Supply Chain and Logistics Warehouse.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
    • Administrative: Provides excellent customer service to OHSU hospital departments by answering phone calls and emails to assist with placing orders for daily supply needs and other assistance that may be needed.
    • Shelves: Ensures shelves are undamaged, clean, neat, and properly marked with product information. Helps ensure signage is present and up to date.
    • Housekeeping: Ensures the warehouse is clean, inventory is packaged and labeled properly, and non-stock products are neatly arranged. Ensures pallets, carts, racks are in good working order.
  • Performs functions as necessary to ensure required daily tasks are completed on time, and sufficiently, to meet the customer’s needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure day-to-day efficient operation of the Logistics Department supply chain.
  • Maintains knowledge of, adheres to, and knows the locations for departmental policy, procedure, safety, and MSDS manuals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in:

  • Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours), OR
  • Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours).

  • Must be able to read and write English and have basic mathematical skills.
  • Conflict resolution skills and the ability to demonstrate effective time management.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Two years of warehouse experience and two years of customer service experience are preferred.
  • Experience performing stores and inventory work.
  • Training or experience providing knowledge of inventory control systems, and transportation agencies and shipping methods.
  • Experience Training or experience providing knowledge of inventory control systems.
  • Working knowledge of hospital materials management distribution systems.
  • Medical supply familiarity, knowledge of OHSU systems, and medical terminology are preferred.

Warehouse and office environment. This position is on-site and not a remote position.
