Job description

Job Description:
Primary Purpose
  • Develop the daily activities of the kitting department
  • Use input from the customer on kitting priorities, the backlog report, what kitting components are available and the current line capacity to develop the weekly schedule
  • Follow the same process daily to update the weekly schedule as necessary
  • Additional duties include publishing daily status updates on current projects and adding new projects with a start time

Key Accountabilities
  • Scheduling the kitting activities in order to fulfill customer demand
  • Associate will communicate daily with the customer to understand kitting priorities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications/Skills
  • Must understand WMS & ERP & Oracle systems
  • Associate will need a working knowledge of the kitting process
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A good understanding of warehouse operations
  • Needs to understand a production environment and monitor performance
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Work well under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to relate to people at any level of business and management
  • Innovative and effective problem- solver
  • Ability to work specified shift
  • Ability to work for the set wage amount
  • Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
  • Ability to perform simple math calculations
  • Have appropriate eye, hand and foot coordination to properly use various equipment and/or tools

  • Detail oriented for quality of repackaging
  • Ability to identify and locate product which requires reading, counting, and printing
  • Ability to operate various material handling equipment
  • Ability to mount and dismount forklift through the duration of the shift which requires bending, stretching, stepping, reaching, climbing, and stooping
  • Ability to use automated inventory control equipment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift
  • Ability to load/unload, lift/move equipment/product which may weigh up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to operate spreadsheet software applications
  • Ability to operate word processing applications
  • Familiar with Topex or Warehouse Management Systems
  • Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program is required within the first 30 days of employment
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with associates and/or customers
  • Ability to meet material handling equipment certification requirements
  • Ability to identify, locate, and disburse product
  • Ability to learn technical material to accomplish necessary objectives
  • Ability to interpret material
  • Ability to write numeric and alphanumeric characters
