Job Description / Essential Elements:
SECONDARY CLASSROOM TEACHER - MATHEMATICS
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Structures class and uses appropriate instructional aids stressing "discovery" and laboratory learning methods.
Demonstrates mathematical concepts using models, chalkboard, overhead projector, and other standard or teacher-prepared instructional aids.
Design learning activities that will relate mathematics to the physical world.
Develops weekly lesson plans and supplementary materials compatible with the basic instructional philosophy and curriculum of the District.
Provides students with the opportunity to partake in daily patriotic observance. Education Code 52720.
Monitors classroom environment to ensure clean and safe conditions exist, notifying principal of any unclean or unsafe classroom conditions.
Monitors classroom activities making students responsible for putting materials, supplies, tools, etc., safely and neatly away at the end of the class session.

• Credential Copy (A detailed screenshot from the CTC website OR a credential status letter from your university with an anticipated date of completion OR proof of credential application. PLEASE NOTE: Credential must post by July 1, 2026.)
• English Learner Authorization (If your ELA is embedded, upload your detailed credential to satisfy this requirement.)

• Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) letters of recommendation - must be signed and dated within the last 24 months. Only wet signatures and e-signatures will be accepted; names typed out in a stylized font will not be accepted as a signature. Letters from relatives are not acceptable.)
