We are hiring a Senior-Level Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer to support key programs at NSWC Crane.

As our Senior MBSE Engineer, you will:
  • Apply MBSE methodologies using SysML, and supporting MBSE tools to capture, maintain, and visualize complete system solutions within a unified digital model, enabling clear design communication and automated integration across engineering domains.
  • Develop, optimize, and champion best practices and modern MBSE processes and standards for adoption into customer programs.
  • Carry out technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, as well as cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for complete systems. These analyses are conducted across all stages of the system lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Translate customer and product requirements into comprehensive system solutions through a logical, systematic process that balances technical performance, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to establish technical baselines and provide a basis for requirements management and set-based design practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with development of SysML models using Cameo Systems Modeler/MagicDraw
  • Expert with Cameo Systems Modeler and associated plugins such as UPDM, Data Hub, UAF, Safety and Reliability Analyzer
  • 15+ years of Systems Engineering and/or MBSE experience
  • 6+ years of experience creating SysML models, analyses, and simulation using Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Experience performing leadership functions within a systems engineering team
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI US Government Clearance. Interim Secret clearance required to start. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret/ TS/SCI Clearance.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited engineering program, or computer science major, or mathematics major.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 15+ years of SE and/or MBSE experience, Master's Degree with 10+ years of SE + MBSE

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience implementing MBSE using MagicGrid Methodology and Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Experience leading technical teams performing MBSE work
  • Expert in creating and integrating requirements, structural, parametric, and behavioral models and associated simulation
  • Ability to lead and/or work with a distributed team
  • Good communications, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Compensation Details:
$180,000 - $225,000 annually

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
