OVERVIEW/FUNCTION
This is a leadership role that affects every aspect of Ryan Herco Flow Solution's EMI business. This position recruits, develops, trains, and supervises engineering talent to develop, design, and engineer marketable products that meet or exceed customer needs and expectations. This position provides technical direction for EMI-design products as well as manufacturing and business practices. The ideal candidate has broad experience in mechanical, electrical, controls, process automation, and process engineering as it relates to fluid systems for industrial, semiconductor, biomedical, and chemical processing applications.

This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and the ability to align and prioritize areas of responsibility with corporate goals and objectives. The individual must be flexible, adaptable and possess a high sense of integrity. They must respect and enforce the confidential aspects of their work. They will work effectively with cross functional teams and have excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
EDUCATION, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Engineering degree from a reputable engineering school (preferably ABET accredited) in the fields of electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
  • Previous experience as an engineering manager or supervisor.
  • Project/resource planning/management experience
  • Demonstrated and consistent sound engineering judgement in the design of components, electrical/mechanical/fluidic assemblies, and complex systems
  • Experience writing and negotiating product/system specifications and requirements with customers
  • Experience developing internal procedures and work instructions
  • Experience reviewing, interpreting, and implementing industry or regulatory standards as they relate to products and systems
  • Working knowledge of fluid handling/process piping components, systems and practices
  • Working knowledge in practical application of materials, chemical compatibility and machine/process automation.
  • 3D design experience with SolidWorks, Creo, or other major CAD platform
  • 2D design experience with AutoCAD, Visio or similar software for schematic development
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform all work in a safe manner.

  • Participate in the overall fiscal management of the company.
  • Manage and allocate engineering department resources to meet company goals.
  • Lead the team to complete projects on time and within financial constraints.
  • Assist sales as needed to acquire new business opportunities.
  • Guide customers through the product specification/definition process.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement departmental processes or procedures.
  • Direct product development activities.
  • Provide technical and career direction to engineers, designers, and other technical staff.
  • Provide departmental technical support and guidance for manufacturing.
  • Provide departmental technical support and guidance for customers.
  • Support management as requested.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
