Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students' awareness and understandingย of the career opportunities and education requirements in the computer science occupations.


Instructs and conducts classes, including Computer Science, Adobe Visual, and Adobe Digital.

Provides services to assist students in achieving a better understanding of specific subject material and in improving academic capabilities in designated areas. Collaborates with the school principal and staff members to assess students' needs and how best to address them. Course offerings include Culinary Arts I and II.

MINIMUMย TRAININGย ANDย EXPERIENCE

Required to hold state certification.

PERFORMANCEย RESPONSIBILITIES

1.ย Teaches students academic, social, and motor skills in public schoolsย 
2.ย Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and schoolย 
3.ย Lectures, demonstrates, and uses audiovisual teaching aids and best practices to present subject matter to classย 
4.ย Prepares, administers, and corrects tests, and records results
5.ย Assigns lessons, corrects papers, and hears oral presentationsย 
6.ย Teaches behavioral expectations
7.ย Develops a behavioral plan and maintains order in classroom, on playground and throughout the campus
8.ย Counsels students when adjustment and academic problems ariseย 
9.ย Discusses students' academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements with parentsย 
10.ย Keeps attendance and grade records as required by schoolย 
11.ย May coordinate class field tripsย 
12.ย May teach combined or combination or inclusion classesย 
13.ย May specialize by subject taught, such as math, science, or social studies, music, etc.ย

MINIMUMย STANDARDSย REQUIREDย TOย PERFORMย RESPONSIBILITIES

Physicalย Requirements: Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computers, copiers, calculators, etc. Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Light Work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.ย 
Dataย Conception: Requires the ability to compare and/or judge the readily observable, functional, structural or composite characteristics (whether similar or divergent from obvious standards) of data, people or things.ย 
Interpersonalย Communication: Requires the ability to speak and/or signal people to convey or exchange information. Includes giving instructions, assignments or directions to subordinates or assistants.ย
