Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

Load, unload and move incoming and outgoing materials to ensure continuous production within the parameters set by White Energy.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES


  • Check tank levels of grain and ethanol
  • Load railcars with ethanol following procedures for inspection and loading, record railcar information on loading report
  • Assign load numbers and produce bill of lading for ethanol railcars loaded
  • Load ethanol trucks to amount specified on the bill of lading or car specifications sheet
  • Assist Yard Manager/Lead in staging of loaded and empty cars on site while keeping cars organized
  • Assist Yard Manager/Supervisor in scale house using computer to weigh inbound and outbound trucks
  • Use scale house equipment to monitor and test incoming grain shipments for moisture and protein content
  • Determine if shipments are accepted or rejected by comparing results of testing to minimum standards
  • Load trucks with wetcake and DDGS with front end loader
  • Collect samples from outgoing shipments of DDGS, wetcake and ethanol railroad cars and trucks and deliver to lab for testing
  • Operate the computer systems for grain receiving and the load-out of ethanol and co-products
  • Load DCO cars utilizing procedures for inspection and loading
  • Maintain housekeeping standards throughout designated plant areas (wetcake pads, scales, shacks, and PIT equipment)
  • Operate the equipment for moving railcars, grain storage and transfer equipment, and handling of WDGS/DDGS.
  • Follow the procedures of the Safe Work programs, including Confined Space, Hot Work, and Lock-out Tag-out, and Rail Safety.
  • Completion of PM maintenance checklist, grounds sanitation, and scheduled general duties of the logistics department.
  • Interface with plant personnel and external logistics parties to ensure adequate corn, ethanol, and WDGS/DDGS movement and storage capacities are maintained.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of materials received and loaded out for accurate production and inventory.
  • Cooperate with manager to facilitate maintenance and repair of grain, WDGS/DDGS, and rail equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining the site security and general upkeep of the plant and grounds.
  • Be available for scheduled and unscheduled trains with 8 hours’ notice or less; report for the train within 45 minutes or less when called.
  • Additional duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

  • Significant time will be spent in the plant and rail loadout. Many types of industrial equipment are used in including, but not limited to, rail car movers and heavy rolling stock such as pay loaders. May be exposed to loud noises, wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme hot and cold depending on weather conditions. Must be able to climb ladders and work in high elevations. Must be able to speak and listen clearly. Fine visual acuity to read for accuracy. Ability to work in confined areas such as Grain tunnels and high platforms up to or more than 100’ from ground level. Working in different climates

PHYSICAL STRENGTH: This job may require lifting more than 50 pounds frequently.
