Job description

Location: Columbus, OH

Work Schedule: 38.75hrs/week, 2 days in office (Tuesday & Wednesday) and 3 days remote

Duration: 14 weeks

Grange provides a unique internship experience through the Grange Intern Development Program. The 14-week program is designed to expose students to the insurance industry through networking, mentoring, hands-on work experience, and community service. The interns will work day-to-day in their respective departments while also working as a group on a corporate project, which concludes with a capstone presentation to senior leaders. Summary:    

Develop actuarial skills in an insurance environment. Assist in several phases of the rate review or loss reserve appraisal process. Collect, assimilate, and analyze data with guidance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Participate in projects using actuarial techniques to analyze product information.
  • Increase actuarial knowledge and develop pertinent technical skills.
  • Gain a basic level of knowledge of our products and how they compare to other insurers in the industry.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring To The Company: 

Ideal candidate is working toward college degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science or other applicable major. Experience with computer systems and a working knowledge of spreadsheet applications are required. Successful completion of 1 actuarial exam preferred. Must be enrolled in a degree seeking program at the time of internship.
