Requirements:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) plus 3-5 years trade experience with electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
  • Flexible packaging manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge in operation and maintenance of facility management services.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

Duties/Tasks:

Electro-Mechanical/Pneumatic Repairs and Troubleshooting:

  • Repair electrical problems and perform installations on non-energized circuits.
  • Diagnose and fix electro-mechanical and pneumatic devices.
  • Disassemble and reassemble devices as needed.

Facilities Maintenance:

  • Maintain facilities, including snow plowing, yard maintenance, and light electrical and plumbing work.
  • Conduct daily inspections
  • Assist with managing the Tool Room.

Production & Engineering Support:

  • Set up and operate all Level I and Level II production equipment.
  • Assist operators in troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with the Production Department based on scheduled demands.
  • Build fixtures and machine attachments.
  • Assist engineering with installation, testing and validation of new products and production equipment.

Teamwork and Communication:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient operations.
  • Train & support lower-level maintenance techs and support production departments.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Operate scissor lifts, UTV/snowplows, snowblowers, and forklifts with valid licenses.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

All other duties as assigned

    Work Environment:

    Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required on the production floor at all times.

    This role operates in a professional environment that requires some exposure to a manufacturing environment. Employee is exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area during extremely hot summer months.
