Job Summary

The Technical Systems Education Analyst is primarily responsible for building and maintaining the EMR training environment. They are responsible for updating and modifying all training materials, including lesson plans, exercise books, job aids, simulations and scenarios in MST and in production. They are deeply familiar with the EMR environment and well-versed in all applications so that they can, with high quality, credential and cross train educators on assigned applications. The Technical Systems Education Analyst works closely with the Epic Analysts to ensure alignment in system updates and other application enhancements. They audit educators during facilitation, offering feedback, suggestions, and when necessary, a remediation plan. They are highly skilled in understanding and working in the Epic Application Curriculum and Epic Application training environment. Because of their mastery of the applications, programs and training materials, they are adept at trouble shooting issues and providing viable and valuable solutions. They are responsible for training end users, when needed. Other responsibilities include rebuilding and refreshing MST environment, managing and owning Application Parking Lot, maintaining Template Training requirement crosswalk process and maintaining the Training Schedule and Catalogue.

Essential Functions

  • All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference

  • Builds and maintains the training environment used in providing end-user training on EMR (Epic).

  • Updates and modifies training materials and MST for systems/programs (Epic, others) and maintains accuracy of lesson plans, exercise books, job aids, simulations and scenarios.

  • Credentials/cross trains and audits educators on assigned applications.

  • Collaborates with Epic Analysts to ensure alignment in system updates and other application enhancements.

  • Develops and delivers remediation plan to educators, as needed.

    Troubles shoot issues shared through Service Now, Analysts, or end users.

  • Trains end users on various assigned applications.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Education

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in General Education, Information Sciences, Business Management, Training and Development, Clinical Informatics, Project Management or related field of study.

  • Experience - Three (3) years of healthcare experience with at least two (2) years Epic education/training experience; prefer experience working with Epic. Skill and experience in adult education.

In Lieu Of

  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree: three (3) years education/training experience and/or completed certification or certification pending in Epic Application Curriculum and Epic Application Training Environment may be considered.

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

  • Certification in Epic Application Curriculum - must be obtained within 90 days of hire

  • Certification in Epic Application Training Environment - must be obtained within 90 days of hire
