WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
The Materials Handler plays a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our inbound and outbound drilling motors and tools components. This multifaceted position involves verifying inbound/outbound inventory, optimizing material flow, and collaborating with various teams to ensure smooth operations. The Handler's contribution in traffic control and inventory organization contributes to a safe and productive warehouse environment, while their active participation in cycle count processes enhances inventory accuracy. Their commitment to quality and attention to detail are evident in the careful handling of the components ensuring precision and professionalism in order presentation.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
  • Thoroughly verify inbound inventory accuracy by cross-referencing BOLs and packing lists, upholding accurate record-keeping and adherence to compliance standards
  • In the absence of the Materials Lead, promptly notify the Materials Supervisor by providing alerts and the Bill of Lading (BOL)
  • Collaborate with QA/QC to move inventory to and from inspection areas, ensuring no delays occur prior, during or post of the inspection process
  • Controls traffic while managing the loading and unloading of trucks, optimizing material flow and prioritizing safety
  • Organize inventory for improved production processes and precise tracking
  • Actively participate in cycle count processes and recounts
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, following established standards and legal regulations
  • Foster seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams to support efficient operations and the timely delivery of small parts
  • Address any discrepancies or issues related to small parts in collaboration with fellow and cross functional teams, ensuring prompt resolution, uninterrupted flow of operations and timely delivery of parts
  • Diligently execute the retrieval and verification of small parts for orders, meticulously ensuring item quality, accuracy and quantity while organizing items professionally and in accordance with order specifications
  • Use appropriate methods and materials to preserve the quality and integrity of inventory
  • Handle small parts with care during the picking process to prevent damage or loss

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Experience in inventory especially within the oil and gas manufacturing industry preferred
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with industrial equipment
  • Comfortable with desk work, hands-on parts handling, loading, and moving
  • Flexibility for overtime and on-call duty as required by the role
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications is a plus
  • Analytical, problem-solving skills and attention for detail to accurately and efficiently manage inventory levels, discrepancies and records
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and foster a culture of efficiency and excellence
  • Forklift Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and components, up to 25 pounds
  • Operate basic office equipment• Sit for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours a day
  • Walk/travel to production areas while wearing Personal Protection equipment (PPE), which at a minimum includes safety glasses, steel tow shoes and a hardhat
