Essential Job Duties What You'll Do in This Role: Provide friendly, proactive, and knowledgeable assistance to Library patrons.

Sort and shelve Library materials. Ensure that materials are shelved in their proper order. Answer basic directional questions and refer patrons with other inquiries to the appropriate service desk.

Adhere to Library policies and procedures. Assist in providing a secure environment for patrons, staff, and library materials. Answer the Library telephone and direct calls to the appropriate staff or department.

Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Minimum Qualifications You Have: Minimum of two years high school education. A basic understanding of the Dewey Decimal System and the alphabet.

The ability to follow oral and written instructions. You Will Succeed in This Role if You: Are committed to delivering positive, friendly customer service. Understand the role of the library and are eager to learn its daily procedures.
