Position Overview:

Canada Goose is committed to exceptional craftsmanship and product excellence. The Associate Materials Developer, Colour plays a key role in supporting the end-to-end colour development process by partnering with Design, Materials Development, Sourcing, and Quality Assurance teams. This role is responsible for coordinating seasonal colour and graphic developments, maintaining accurate data and physical records, managing colour standards, and supporting the timely approval and communication of colour developments to ensure successful commercialization.

About The Role

  • Coordinate and track seasonal colour lab dip, trim colour, and graphic developments within the PLM system, ensuring data accuracy for both new and carryover developments.
  • Maintain and update colour development records in PLM and communicate colour comments and approvals to suppliers.
  • Order and manage colour standards from colour providers, including Pantone, Coloro, and Archroma.
  • Request colour cards, colour submissions, and development materials from suppliers.
  • Create and maintain seasonal colour boards and colour presentation materials.
  • Create, update, and maintain physical colour keys.
  • Receive, organize, and track incoming lab dips and graphic submissions.
  • Maintain physical records of approved lab dips, colour standards, graphics, colour cards, and related records.
  • Provide weekly status updates on seasonal colour and graphic developments to cross-functional teams.
  • Manage the exports of approved colour and graphic data from PLM to D365.
  • Create and distribute standard cards for Quality Assurance and FG Sourcing teams.
  • Coordinate distribution of approved colour and graphic developments to internal stakeholders.
  • Colour review for graphic developments.
  • Support shipping, receiving, and inventory management of colour standards, development submissions, and related materials.

About You

  • Degree in Textiles, Textile Engineering or Fashion Design
  • 1-3 years of work experience, preferably with outdoor apparel industry with a working knowledge of the industry.
  • Proven experience in colour development within apparel, textile, or related industries.
  • Working knowledge of textile manufacturing, apparel processes, and commercialization.
  • Highly organized and self sufficient
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills and aptitude
  • Process driven and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once.
  • An action-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
  • Collaborator with excellent communication skills, and strong people skills with the ability to be flexible, solution oriented and adaptive to changing priorities and quick turns.
  • Knowledge of textile manufacturing process, development, and timelines
  • Experience collaborating with Suppliers and Vendors outside of North America
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office, Illustrator, PLM)

Salary Range:

$53,000.00 - $74,000.00 / year
