Your impact starts here. Join WSP's Materials Engineering team in Vancouver, BC, where your curiosity for concrete, construction materials, and emerging technologies will help deliver resilient, highperforming infrastructure across British Columbia, Canada, and beyond.
In this earlycareer role, you'll gain handson experience across a diverse portfolio of industrial, commercial, municipal, transportation, and residential projects. You'll work alongside experienced specialists in a collaborative, sciencedriven environment-building a strong technical foundation while contributing to innovation in materials engineering, including the growing application of datadriven and AIenabled approaches.

Your Impact
  • Support materials engineering consulting for new construction, condition assessments, and rehabilitation of concrete and pavement infrastructure.
  • Perform fieldwork, site reviews, and laboratory testing of concrete and aggregates in accordance with CSA and ASTM standards.
  • Assist with concrete and pavement mix design, review, optimization, and durability or servicelife assessments using analytical and datadriven methods.
  • Contribute to the development of specifications, technical documentation, and contract administration activities.
  • Prepare technical reports and proposals under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support structural repair, rehabilitation design, nondestructive evaluation, and innovation initiatives related to advanced materials and digital technologies.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in materials engineering, construction materials, or a related field.
  • Exposure to, or strong interest in, AI applications, data analytics, or digital tools in concrete technology, materials performance, or infrastructure assessment.
  • Eligibility for registration as an EIT or P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
  • Strong analytical thinking, technical writing, and communication skills, with the ability to apply emerging technologies to practical engineering challenges.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work in varied environmental conditions; a valid BC Driver's License is required.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 - $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $69,900 - $92,900
