Job description

Role Description:

This roleย manages advanced warehouse operations with minimal supervision, supports cross-functional teams, and helps train junior staff. This position leads deviation investigations and process audits to upholdย Current Good Manufacturing Practicesย (cGMP)ย andย Good Documentation Practices (GDP)ย standards.ย Strong coaching, mentoring, and cross-functional communication skills are essential.

Essential Responsibilities:ย 

  • Manages routine communication with vendors and support teams to support day-to-day operations functions.ย 
  • Safely operates, monitors and trains others in the use of Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs), including electric pallet jacks, turret truck and similar equipment.ย 
  • Performs and trains others in specialized ERP (SAP) and RF system transactions, while coordinating with external support teams as needed.ย ย 
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials; verify against documentation and enter data accurately in ERP systems, adhering to GDP, providing training to others.ย ย 
  • Label, stage, and store materials in appropriate warehouse locations, including cold storage, following cGMP and safety protocols.ย 
  • Pick, pack, prepare, and ship orders, including hazardous and biological materials, in compliance with cGMP and approved procedures.ย 
  • Reservation fulfillment to support CDMO operations efficiently and accurately.ย 
  • Transport materials across the site ensuring compliance with cGMP standards and safety protocols.ย 
  • Coordinate and assist with daily and weekly inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate material tracking and inventory control.ย 
  • Deliver materials to internal teams such as production and quality while ensuring all movements are documented per GDP.ย 
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMP, and GDP while proactively identifying and suggesting major process improvements in collaboration with supervision and team leads.ย 
  • Lead deviation investigations and support implementation.ย 
  • Use shipping software (e.g., FedEx/UPS) to prepare outbound shipments accurately and maintain related documentation.ย 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas consistent with cGMP requirements.ย ย 
  • Comply with all applicable safety regulations, including use of PPE and handling of hazardous materials.ย 
  • Leads and supports continuous improvement projects or initiatives that directly impact P&L.ย 
  • Support general warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.ย 

ย Educationand Experience:ย 

  • High School Diploma or GED, plus 4+ years of experience in a regulated cGMP material management environment with SAP
  • Proficiency in similar ERP systems, cGMP and biomanufacturing environmentsย 

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:ย 

  • Intermediate Excel skills, and other MS programsย 
  • Ability to lift up toย 65lbs on regular basisย 
  • Ability to work in 2-8ย C and -20 C environmentsย ย 
  • Mustย safelyย operateย material handling equipment andย completeย DOT training within 90 Days of hireย ย 
  • Ability to navigate digital systems and tools in highly regulated cGMP, GDP, and biomanufacturing environmentย 
  • Strong attention to detail, be able to adapt to evolving environmentsย 
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication with cross-functional teamsย 
  • Ability to train efficient teamsย ย 

Schedule:ย 

  • Occasional weekend and night hours, based on business needs.
  • Required on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Work Environment:ย 

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is performed in a temperature-controlled facility without exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures and may frequently encounter cold temperatures ranging from -20 to 8 Celsius. Generally, this job is performed in a Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Facility within an Office Building. Occasions in which this position must work outside, in which temperatures may vary. This position deals with temperature-controlled materials in which personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required due to extreme temperatures. Used research/clinical equipment may be handled in this job and strict SOPs and PPE must be worn.ย 

The anticipated base salary range has been established at $26.11-$30.69/hr.ย  The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above salary range represents the Companyโ€™s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.ย  In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, plus a 401(k) plan.ย  All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
