Job Summary

Position: Material Service Associate
Qualifications: Good understanding of Material Services processes and procedures used in a J.I.T. seat manufacturing operation. Good written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills. Previous Material Service experience is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To ensure on time delivery of parts and materials to internal and external customers per the production schedule.
  • Various Material Services processes as assigned.
  • Follow the preservation of product procedures.
  • Provide training for new associate or fellow associates new to a process.
  • Various warehouse processes as assigned.
  • Maintain a constant rotation of parts (FIFO).
  • Participate in physical inventory and cycle counts.
  • Special projects as assigned by department manager and team leader.
  • Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.
  • Ensure safe operations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Monitor and measure accuracy of equipment.
  • Maintain accuracy of inventory and inventory transactions.
  • Must have an understanding of manufacturing fundamentals and JIT principles, high manual dexterity and good visual acuity to work with parts.
