Materials Application Engineer

Develop methods and automated solutions for applying filled polymer materials for thermal and EMI management.

This position requires a background in engineering, polymer composites, and machine automation.

Responsibilities
  • Work with developmental scientists to test and provide feedback on the application of new materials
  • Recommend automated solutions to customers based on requirements
  • Develop new testing methodologies, establish material specifications, and optimize how materials would be applied at the factory
  • Work with and establish close partnerships with equipment manufacturers
  • Become a global subject matter expert on the application of thermal interface materials
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with dispensing, stenciling, pick and place, and other automation equipment
  • Able to communicate effectively with all functions from scientists to customers
  • Ability to travel globally to customer sites to assist in material application
  • Proven track record of developing new and innovative processes
