Job Summary:
The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement of HVAC materials, equipment, and services. The role includes identifying cost-effective solutions, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring that inventory is available to meet the needs of our projects. The ideal candidate has experience in purchasing for the HVAC or construction industry and is familiar with procurement software and processes.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase HVAC parts, and materials in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring that materials are available to support operations without overstocking.
  • Track and monitor orders, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any delays or issues with vendors.
  • Collaborate with the project management and service teams to forecast material needs for upcoming projects.
  • Evaluate supplier performance regularly and recommend changes as necessary.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, new products, and market conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to purchasing.
  • Generate purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records within the company’s procurement system.
Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of purchasing experience, ideally in the HVAC, construction, or mechanical contracting industries.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of HVAC materials, components, and equipment is a plus.
  • Proficient in procurement and inventory management software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
