Job description

Purpose

Support maintenance and reliability for a manufacturing operation. Responsible for the planning, requisitioning of materials and services and coordination of future maintenance plans and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain solid fundamental preventative and predictive schedules in the CMMS
  • Collaborate with all departments to translate work requirements into clear achievable plans
  • Work directly with maintenance and purchasing to plan and prioritize maintenance work
  • Plans maintenance tasks as well as shutdowns and other project work
  • Follows the planning process as outlined in the Reliability Playbook
  • Prepares job plans for maintenance work in the mill, with safety instructions and special precautions
  • Attend the Daily approval meeting and the weekly partner meeting
  • Coordinates with purchasing to ensure parts availability
  • Maintains maintenance and equipment records and generates reports; i.e. open work orders, past due work orders, completed work orders, labor utilization by work order type, equipment historical cost analysis, etc
  • Tracks availability of crew resources
  • Provides job estimates as required
  • Coordinates and prioritizes planning and maintenance work with production requirements
  • Coordinate the PDM results, use results for planning of required maintenance
  • Models company core values

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years working in a manufacturing environment as a Millwright, Electrician, or other equivalent technical trade
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated understanding of company safety policies and expectations
  • Ability to read blueprints and some drafting
  • PC operation and experience (Word, Access, Excel, Preventive Maintenance Systems, etc)
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to make decisions and maintain composure in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment
  • Willing to work anytime as required to meet mill needs including nights, weekends and holidays if necessary
  • Must be willing to attend additional training with passing grades as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates' degree in business, manufacturing, production or related field
  • Maintenance background in both electrical and mechanical trades
  • Previous experience with CMMS systems (currently EAM)
