Position Summary:

The Material Data Steward is responsible for the creation, maintenance, governance, and quality of material master data across the organization's enterprise systems. This role ensures that material data is accurate, complete, standardized, and compliant with established data governance policies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure data integrity of material data in MDM and other systems.
  • Create and maintain material data.
  • Identify and correct errors and omissions in material data.
  • Create additional records as needed to assist all business units with their data needs.
  • Curate data from multiple sources into standardized format as required by the company.
  • Update material data from manufacturers, seeking out new information as it becomes available.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures to preserve material data integrity.
  • Assist in creating quality relationships between all RK business units and maintaining communications of needs and possible solutions.
  • Run regular audits of material data to identify and correct inconsistencies within the data.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in master data management, supply chain, procurement, ERP administration, or a related business function.
  • Experience creating and maintaining material master data within ERP or MDM platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality, and master data management concepts.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

Minimum Physical Requirements and Accountability:

  • Frequent and prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking within the facility.  
  • Must be able to hear and communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, and in virtual settings. 
  • Manual dexterity is required to operate computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment. 
  • Close vision is necessary for reading, computer use, and performing detailed tasks.
  • Occasional reaching, bending, stooping, or kneeling may be required. 
  • Noise levels are typically low to moderate but may vary, particularly for roles that involve time in field or shop environments. 
  • Possible exposure to typical manufacturing-related hazards in certain job locations.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Consistent, punctual attendance during core business hours is essential.
  • This position is primarily office-based and located in the Denver Metro Area. Reliable transportation is required for commuting and occasional travel between local corporate offices and job sites during business hours.
  • All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
