Job description

The Material Handler plays a crucial role in supporting the warehouse and manufacturing teams by efficiently managing the movement and organization of materials. Reporting to the warehouse manager, this role involves loading, unloading, sorting, and transporting materials while adhering to safety standards and utilizing equipment effectively. The position requires availability for standard shifts and occasional overtime, with no travel expected.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
  • Transport materials across warehouse and manufacturing areas
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  • Sort and recycle materials as necessary
  • Maintain organized and clean work areas
  • Support teamwork and communication within warehouse and manufacturing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in material handling
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift operation certification or experience
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety practices
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment
