Overview

Stryten Energy has openings for Materials Handlers at our facility in Manchester, Iowa.

Starting pay is $22.40 per hour

1st and 2nd Shift

Must be able to operate forklifts.

This position is responsible for the movement of all material within the plant.

Bonus Opportunities Available!

  • Gainshare Bonus - hourly associates have the potential to earn up to 10% of their gross monthly pay; potentially $300 per month!
  • Quarterly Attendance Bonus - associates have the potential to earn up to $600 each quarter; just for showing up to work your scheduled hours!
  • Production Bonus - associates have the potential to earn monthly bonuses based on the plant hitting production goals; potentially $50 per month and more!

Responsibilities
  • This job requires an employee to be qualified or certified to operate forklifts in the plant.
  • Maintains preventative maintenance procedures on forklift.
  • Participate in training and development programs
  • Follow health and safety practices as they apply to area of work and the facility perform daily housekeeping tasks as needed
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Perform appropriate housekeeping tasks as needed
Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuous operation of forklift and getting on and off to perform required job duties.
  • Occasionally required to work in extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
  • Must wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, apron, respirator, if required by individual blood lead, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes, hearing protection, etc., as outlined in established department personal protective equipment (PPE) policy.
  • Must be able to do some heavy lifting.

Equipment Used:

  • Forklift, barcode system

Education, Experience, Skills Required

  • Mechanical skills preferred
  • Previous manufacturing or related experience a plus
  • High School degree preferred; National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) Bronze preferred
