Job description

Material Handler

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, has an opportunity for a Material Handler. The Material Handler efficiently and accurately unloads, loads, and stacks commercial tires on and off company vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently unload tires from company vehicles onto pallets following best practice standards and company procedures.
  • Verifies and confirms the paperwork and physical inventory are identical.
  • Assist in safely loading of outbound product onto company vehicles following best practice standards and company procedures.
  • Ability to safely operate company equipment including forklift and pallet jack.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment. Follow all operational procedures to protect our assets.
  • Adheres to internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Perform other distribution related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
  • Forklift certified.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Commitment to teamwork, a positive attitude, and customer focused.
  • Understands the importance of being accountable.
  • Physically demanding work. Ability to lift 150 pounds frequently.
  • Able to be on feet for long periods of time.
