This role requires effective cross-functional collaboration and the ability to manage complex projects through implementation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in material flow, logistics, or industrial engineering, preferably in automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, simulation tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to succeed in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with PFEP data, assembly and body shop manufacturing processes, industrial engineering job balancing, internal logistics delivery routes, warehouse management, and ERP systems.
  • Experience with fork-free material delivery strategies, including kitting, sequencing cells, and lean lineside presentation.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and material tracking technologies.
  • Working knowledge of CAD systems, layout drawings, and flow-layout optimization to improve material movement, space utilization, and operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Support the implementation and optimization of material flow from the warehouse to point of use using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Review, develop, and implement lineside replenishment systems, such as eKanban, with IT to automate material calls and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Maintain material handling layouts that optimize warehouse and production floor space.
  • Lead the implementation of pull systems with balanced inventory levels at each point of use.
  • Manage material handling equipment from procurement through operational deployment, including forklifts, tuggers, AGVs/AGCs, carts, racks, and low-cost automation.
