THIS ROLE IS FOR THE FOLLOWING SHIFTS:
DAYLIGHT: Monday to Thursday - 6:00am to 4:00pm
EVENING: Monday to Thursday - 5:00pm to 3:00am
WEEKEND DAY: Friday to Sunday - 6:00am to 6:00pm
WEEKEND EVE: Friday & Saturday - 6:00pm to 6:00am / Sunday 6:00pm to 4:00am
YOUR ROLES AS A MATERIAL HANDLER
As a Material Handler, your job is to provide excellent service to our stores and customers by performing all aspects of material handling including unloading, loading, warehousing, and staging merchandise throughout the Distribution Center using manual and/or mechanical means. If you like a fast-paced, physical position that keeps you active, this could be the role for you.
Your Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe work environment by keeping safety a top priority
  • Sort, warehouse, stage, and load or unload cartons accurately, safely, and efficiently
  • Unload inbound freight and load outbound freight
  • Separate and load freight on unpacking lines
  • Stage outbound freight in shipping
  • Receive and warehouse incoming merchandise into module racks and floor locations
  • Pull merchandise from racks or move merchandise to open areas for pulling and distribution in the replenishment department
  • Replenish and condense merchandise into the most effective locations for order pulling in the replenishment department
  • Operate manual and mechanical equipment safely and maintain proper certifications
  • Ensure production and quality standards are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or some high school
  • Adaptable to change and able to work in different departments
  • Strong attendance and work record
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Ability to operate manual and automated pallet jack equipment
  • Willingness to work across multiple departments
Physical Requirements
  • Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, and stack cartons for the duration of the shift, up to 12 hours
  • Stand for long periods and walk continuously
  • Pull merchandise from multiple levels of shelving or move merchandise as needed
  • Climb stairs and work at platform heights up to 60 feet
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, depending on department
