DESCRIPTION SUMMARY


The Cemplex Group CDL Driver/Field Team Member is a combined role in which the Team Member is responsible driving material to various job sites on time and correctly installing concrete, gypsum and/or sound mat flooring and/or correctly waterproof balconies to assure we produce floors that don’t fail and balconies that don’t leak.

This is a short haul position and is home most nights 80-90% of the time.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive Tractor-Trailer, Flatbed, Heavy Duty Trucks
  • Deliver material and equipment to various jobsites and up to 4 hours away from the Cemplex Office.
  • Unload Equipment and material at job sites
  • Operate other equipment as needed
  • Perform Pre-Trip inspections and maintain Driver Log Book Daily.
  • Install sound mat underlayment on floors or balconies before pouring Concrete or Gypcrete.
  • Pour gypsum and/or concrete flooring that meets job and quality requirements
  • Waterproof balconies in a manner that is consistent with quality standards
  • Assure proper set-up and clean-up of job site
  • Assure job site standards are maintained while work is being performed
  • Perform work in accordance with foreman and project managers guidance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Required:
    • Highschool diploma or equivalent with 3 years of experience driving a CDL A eligible vehicle without accidents or violations
    • Valid Class A CDL
  • Preferred:
    • Mechanical background

This position requires the successful completion of a motor vehicle check and compliance with DOT requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Climb, crawl, and walk while carrying or operating machinery and tools upstairs, downstairs, and over potentially uneven surfaces.
  • Lift, pull, push, and carry 80 lbs. of weight intermittently.
  • Ability to identify safety hazards and communicate effectively with others.
  • Sustain the stamina to perform manual labor outdoors, exposed to the elements, vibrations, loud noises, offensive smells, dust, dirt, and water in all seasons, including extreme temperatures.
  • Safely perform work on balconies and other elevated areas with appropriate safety gear.
  • Distinguish between different colors.
  • Sit for long periods of time.
  • Bend, squat, twist, and reach in various positions as the situation dictates.
  • Overnight travel may be required within 4-5 hours of the area. Accommodations and daily per diem are employer provided.
