Job Title: Asphalt Paver Operator

Position Summary:
C.R. Jackson, Inc. is seeking an experienced Asphalt Paver Operator to join our paving crew. This position plays a key role in delivering smooth, high-quality asphalt surfaces by safely and efficiently operating the paver during road construction and resurfacing projects.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience operating asphalt pavers, understands the importance of consistent material flow and mat quality, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented field environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate asphalt paver to place material to specified depth, width, and grade
  • Control speed and material flow to ensure a smooth, consistent mat
  • Coordinate with screed operators, roller operators, and truck drivers for efficient paving operations
  • Monitor head of material, and overall paving conditions
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
  • Adjust paver controls based on job specifications and site conditions
  • Maintain strong awareness of surroundings to ensure safe operation
  • Support crew members and assist with general paving duties as needed

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating asphalt pavers
