Job hours and location:
Shift: Monday-Thursday;ย  2pm-12:30amย (overtime as needed in evenings & weekends)

Position Overview: Work includes various routine and semi-routine assignment planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manuals, NC and CNC machine shop equipment.ย  Under general supervision, works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production od machine parts, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal, and other materials, to precision dimensions. May communicate directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly. Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances. May need to identify and repair minor machine malfunctions/ Troubleshooting.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture and inspects detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings and verbal instructions using a variety of machining tools and equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, jig bores and other machining equipment) and using mat.
  • Set up and operate machinery, tools, and equipment according to established procedures and production schedules.
  • Monitor machine performance during operations, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Perform inspections of finished products to confirm compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Complete required production documentation, including work orders, inspection logs, and equipment checklists.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and report any equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance staff.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
  • Cross-train in multiple areas of the manufacturing process to provide flexibility and support to the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Ability to work independently to complete milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet quality and productivity standards within team.
  • Good time-management skills and ability to set priorities.ย 
  • Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, customer service and teamwork.

  • Technical/trade school
  • Ability to make decisions or suggestions for improving machine run times, or better-quality part production, based on rules or procedures.

Physical Requirements:
  • This position requires the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, up to 8 or more hours per shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
