Assistant Professor- Strategic Management **FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT** **"At Baruch College we believe that student success is everyone's responsibility"** Baruch College, a senior college of the City University of New York (CUNY), is located in the historic Gramercy/Flatiron district between Midtown and Lower Manhattan. This prime location offers significant professional opportunities to interact with operations, supply chain, and analytics professionals across various sectors, including healthcare, retail, banking and finance, technology, transportation, and government. The Zicklin School of Business, New York City's premier public business school, is renowned for its excellence in offering nationally ranked business programs. These include BBA and MBA degrees; specialized MS degrees; executive programs; and the Zicklin PhD in Business (which includes a specialization in Management & Entrepreneurship) offered jointly with the CUNY Graduate Center. The Strategy faculty routinely publish in top-tier journals and host internationally-known scholars in the department's research seminar series. The Narendra Paul Loomba Department of Management at the Zicklin School of Business is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Strategic Management, commencing in August 2027, subject to final budget approval. **QUALIFICATIONS** We seek applicants who hold a PhD (or are ABD) in Strategic Management or a closely related field. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a rigorous research agenda in strategic management, leading to publications in top-tier journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, and Journal of International Business Studies, as well as contribute to the doctoral concentration in Management & Entrepreneurship. We especially welcome applicants conducting research with an emphasis on global contexts and/or strategy analytics. Junior faculty in the strategic management area typically teach BBA courses in strategic management. More senior faculty (i.e., senior assistant professor and higher) are expected to contribute to the Zicklin School's growing catalog of courses at the MBA and MS levels and to support the growth initiatives for the BBA in Management. Applicants should be able to teach in multiple modalities (in-person, online, hybrid) and participate in Zicklin programs offered both on campus and with our global partners. **COMPENSATION** $163,000- $178,500; commensurate with qualifications and experience CUNY offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
