Job description

SkyWater Technology is searching for a ROIC Integration Team Manager for our Bloomington, MN site. This role reports into the Director of Platform Integration and leads one branch of our Platform Technology Service. To be successful, this individual should have some prior experience that spans technical, strategic and customer-facing roles.  

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an engineering team responsible for the development, qualification and control of fabrication process flows used to support our 90nm ROIC (Read Out IC’s) platform for image sensor systems.
  • Contribute to long-term strategy decisions that shape the list of process variants and optional features offered in our technology portfolio.
  • Coordinate the Process Integration activity in support of customer funded programs.
  • Actively drive the qualification milestones for process integration improvements.
  • Organize technical content for Quarterly Business Reviews with Skywater Executives and Customer Reps
  • Lead cross-functional taskforce meetings to resolve technology issues.
  • Manage engineering resources and project budgets
  • Define roles and responsibilities, measure performance against goals and submit year end performance appraisals for each direct report.
  • Mentor employees, foster professional development and establish a talent pipeline.

 Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors & Masters in an Engineering discipline, or PhD in in Electrical, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 7-12 years of experience (Bachelors & Masters) or 5 years (PhD)
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor process/fabrication
  • Demonstrated experience leading an engineering team
  • Able to clearly communicate technical data and results to Executive Leadership in a Customer facing role
  • Ability to extract, organize and analyze data (both electrical and physical)
  • Working Knowledge of statistical analysis tools, DOEs, and SPC
  • Self-motivated with a drive to solve problems
  • US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of, or ability to obtain, a US government security clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with CMOS logic and analog devices
  • Background in device characterization and modeling
  • PhD in an Engineering discipline.
  • Project Management certification
