Job description

Volt is immediately hiring for Metallurgical Analyst (SEM Operator) in Mossville, IL.

As a Metallurgical Analyst you will:

  • Operate a typical SEM, perform minor maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
  • Disclose issues to SEM OEM Tech support and implement requested changes
  • Provide high resolution images of metallic specimens for failure analysis, process changes, etc.
  • Provide EDS analysis for a variety of specimens including failure analysis and debris

This is a Full-Time, Long-Term opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Preferred education: Associate’s degree in engineering, biology, chemistry, sciences. Experience can be from schooling or on the job. 
  • Experience using SEM, Formal SEM training program preferred
  • Ability to collaborate well with customer and potentially train other operators
  • Independent thinker, problem solver, shows initiative, asks questions
  • Failure analysis experience is a plus

Pay Rate: $28.00 - $37.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
