Location: Missoula, MT

About the Role

Client in Missoula, MT, is seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention Program Manager to lead the planning, implementation, and oversight of our infection prevention and control program. This pivotal role helps ensure a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors by identifying risks, analyzing trends, and driving compliance with infection control standards.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention policies and procedures.

  • Conduct surveillance of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) and provide timely reporting and analysis to clinical and administrative stakeholders.

  • Analyze infection data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for system improvement.

  • Educate healthcare personnel on infection prevention protocols, proper use of PPE, and standard precautions.

  • Lead investigations and interventions during outbreaks of infectious disease.

  • Ensure organizational compliance with CDC, OSHA, CMS, Joint Commission, and state and local health regulations.

  • Participate in infection control risk assessments and audits across departments.

  • Maintain current knowledge of emerging infectious diseases and updated best practices.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related healthcare field.

  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required or must be obtained within 2 years of hire.

  • Minimum 2 years of infection prevention and control experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
