A leading global private markets investment firm is seeking a Director of Finance to support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with finance and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, maintain financial models, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Maintain and enhance financial models, including scenario analysis.
- Prepare management, board, and stakeholder financial reporting, including variance analysis and performance commentary.
- Develop and monitor key business metrics and performance indicators.
- Support profitability analysis, business unit reporting, and allocation models.
- Collaborate with business leaders on forecasting assumptions and planning activities.
- Assist with business valuation, strategic planning, and corporate finance initiatives.
- Analyze assets under management (AUM) and related performance drivers.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to support business decisions.
- Contribute to process improvements across FP&A reporting and modeling activities.
Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial modeling, accounting, or related fields.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional designations (CPA, CFA, MBA) are considered an asset.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and management reporting experience.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience working with large datasets, data visualization tools, and AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and focused on continuous improvement.
Preferred Industry Experience
- Experience in asset management, private markets, investment banking, consulting, or other financial services environments is advantageous.
