Third Coast is seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst to support strategic decisionโ€‘making across the organization. In this role, you will partner closely with the CFO and crossโ€‘functional leaders to interpret financial performance, evaluate business initiatives, and help guide the companyโ€™s growth through thoughtful analysis and forecasting. Position Summary Under direction of the CFO, the Financial Analystโ€™s main tasks are to:

Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial and operational results, providing explanations for variances from historical and planned results.
  • Report on monthly KPIs and provide detailed explanations of monthly variances and trends.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the CAPEX budget, keeping track of transactions, and ensuring that transactions get posted to the correct GL/project.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process, collaborating with leads to determine revenue, cost, and profitability targets.
  • Assist in preparation of management reporting packages and presentations.
  • Assist in analyzing actual results vs. budget/forecast and communicating key variances to leadership.
  • Using data analysis, assist in providing decision support throughout the organization: this can apply to adding headcount, expanding worker shifts, capital investments, asset utilization, inventory management, M&A, etc.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining complex financial models/reports to assess profitability of new/existing revenue streams and evaluate business initiatives, projects, and capital investments based on projected FCF, NPV and IRR.
  • Have a solid financial acumen to calculate WACC and to apply appropriate DCF method to value company projects.
  • Collaborate to develop a detailed understanding of product profitability across all companies.
  • Utilize existing ERP systems and analysis tools to generate necessary financial and operational information; develop custom queries as needed.
Requirements
  • Act as a liaison between various departments within Third Coast to ensure the projects move forward seamlessly.
  • Assist with EOM closing and reconciliation.
  • Exhibit and practice the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Bachelorโ€™s degree in finance or accounting is required. MBA or MS in Finance is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization skills.
  • Strong data mining abilities, with the ability to navigate Power BI, SQL and Access databases.
  • Ability to work independently, identifying and addressing business requirements as needed.
  • Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Have strong accounting skills and a thorough understanding of financial statements.
  • A keen understanding of cash flow reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Good English communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to quickly understand and prioritize the above responsibilities and be able to independently move these initiatives forward.
  • Capacity for independent thought and personality to communicate effectively with Senior Management and operations.
