Job Summary
 

Reporting to the department chair, the part time instructor position requires teaching SOCI 2232 Introduction to Social Services and SOCI 3232 Human Behavior and the Social Environment in person on the Statesboro campus. The position is for fall 2026 only. 

Required Qualifications
 
  • Earned Masters in Sociology or Social Work or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Sociology or Social Work

  • Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.

  • Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development. 

  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing a strong and growing research and scholarship agenda and the production of research/creative activities as appropriate to the discipline. 

Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Masters in Social Work

  • Experience in the Social Services field

  • Experience teaching a social work/social services/human services related class 

Proposed Salary
 

Commensurate with experience.
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
