Park Place Finance is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. This role combines strong accounting expertise with financial analysis to provide leadership with meaningful insights while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis
  • Analyze quarterly and annual financial performance and identify trends
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial recommendations
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate financial insights to leadership
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process
  • Monitor budget performance and analyze variances between actual and projected results
  • Recommend opportunities to improve profitability and operational performance
Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
  • Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements
Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits
  • Assist with sales tax, payroll tax, corporate tax filings, and general ledger maintenance
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Business Partnership
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other departments to provide financial guidance
  • Present financial results and recommendations to management
  • Support strategic planning through historical analysis, market research, and competitive benchmarking
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting and financial reporting processes
  • Recommend and implement efficiencies through automation and improved workflows
Leadership
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff
  • Support the continued development of accounting best practices across the organization

Requirements
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related role
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas
  • Experience with QuickBooks and/or ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Ability to work in-office Monday through Friday in Austin, Texas
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strategic mindset with strong business acumen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

  • Experience in hard money lending or commercial real estate lending (Bridge, DSCR, or Renovation Loans)
