Job description

Apply now to join our therapeutic day school team empowering students with emotional and behavioral challenges to have successful experiences in school, at home and in the community. ย The school is seeking an innovative, creative and enthusiastic licensed social worker to join our team on a temporary basis. ย  ย ย 
The school social worker plans, prepares, and provides counseling to students weekly to meet programmatic needs and as specified in the IEP. ย Solid counseling, effective crisis management, and excellent written/oral communication skills are required. ย This role also requires someone who is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines; maintain confidentiality; and prioritize multiple responsibilities while working cooperatively with other members of the treatment team.ย 
Candidates must possess a Masters in Social Work with a Type 73 school license and an IL Drivers License. ย Additionally, a minimum of three years experience working with students with emotional/behavioral disabilities in a therapeutic day treatment school preferred. ย Prospective employees will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
