As Site Operations Head, you will play a pivotal leadership role for our Indianapolis drug product manufacturing and Isotopes sites - driving project execution, advancing operational excellence, and building a culture of continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to lead with purpose, influence site performance at scale, and help accelerate innovation across our Radioligand Therapy network.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead site scheduling, project management, and operational excellence priorities across the manufacturing organization.
  • Oversee the site project portfolio, governance, timelines, budgets, and delivery progress.
  • Partner across functions and external collaborators to execute critical site and network initiatives.
  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and proposed solutions to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Guide technology transfer, process development, and other strategic projects delivered at the site.
  • Track project financials, including costs and payments, to support accurate execution and oversight.
  • Champion continuous improvement through operational excellence tools, governance, and cross-site collaboration.


Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least eight years of relevant experience, including five years in manufacturing, quality, or a related technical field within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience collaborating across functions and sites to deliver complex projects successfully.
  • Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and the application of continuous improvement principles in a regulated environment.
  • Travel 5-15%


Desirable Requirements

  • MBA preferred.
  • Prior experience or training in radiochemistry or radio pharmacy is preferred.

The salary for this position is expected to range between $138,600 and $257,400 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
