Childrens Ministry Director

Love of Christ Church - Bear, DE

Bear, DE

Full-time

Re-posted 3 days ago

Job description

Love of Christ Church is excited to welcome a new Kids Pastor, a leader who brings together ministry maturity, strong team-building ability, and a deep love for children and families. At its core, this role exists to help children and parents feel seen, safe, and spiritually formed by creating environments where kids can know God, love Him, and begin living out their faith. The Kids Pastor will build and lead healthy, scalable systems that support ministry from birth through fifth grade, while developing strong teams of volunteer leaders who are trained, empowered, and cared for. Because Love of Christ Church is a richly multicultural community, this leader must be culturally aware, relationally intelligent, and able to build trust and chemistry across diverse backgrounds, ages, and experiences. The Kids Pastor will cast vision, provide leadership, and ensure excellence in programming, safety, discipleship, and family partnership, while leading through a season of growth, renovation, and expansion. Above all, this pastor must be a shepherd and culture-builder: someone who loves kids, equips leaders, partners with parents, and creates clear pathways for children to grow spiritually within a healthy, Spirit-led, and well-structured ministry.

About This Organization

Love of Christ Church is a non-denominational, spirit-empowered, multi-generational and multi-ethnic church family that is affiliated with the ARC Network. The church was founded in 1991. Over the next 11 years, as the church grew, it moved to three different temporary locations, before purchasing 12 acres of land in 2002, where the first campus was built in Bear, Delaware. Within three years, over 1000 people began attending. In 2015, a second campus was launched in the nearby region of Middletown, and through the faithful generosity of many people, both campuses became debt-free.

In September 2022, Love of Christ Church welcomed new Lead Pastors, Kirk and Shianne Pearson. Kirk has his Masters in Ministry Arts from Richmont Graduate University. Shianne has her BS in Psychology from Oral Roberts University, and is currently pursuing her MA in Clinical Mental Health. The Pearsons are a fun and engaging couple, whose vast ministry experience, relational style, and creativity brings a warm and dynamic approach to leadership! They love God, love people, and want to see them experience a life-giving relationship with Christ and pursue the abundant life God has for them. They also have a huge heart for investing in the next generation, a passion for showing Christ’s love to the community, and a vision for advancing the gospel–locally, nationally, and internationally. Pastors Kirk and Shianne have been married for 24 years, and are blessed with two children.

This is an effective church with strong facilities, a talented staff, healthy finances, and a desire to expand their ministries in the local area and beyond. With a focused belief that the local church is the hope of the world, Love of Christ Church strives to create opportunities to effectively connect with the unchurched. The church is known for solid biblical teaching and extreme generosity within the local area, the nation, and the world.

Love of Christ Church is in an exciting season. They are poised for what God has for them in this next chapter of ministry and are ready to grow spiritually and impact their community. The people are passionate about serving, have a desire to take their next steps on their faith journey, and grow in their relationships with God and one another.
