JOB SUMMARY
The Power Delivery Business Support Team plays a critical role in supporting the administrative, financial, and technology functions associated with the construction of Georgia Power transmission and distribution assets including, but not limited to, Transmission Construction, GRID, Distribution Construction, Network Underground, Make Ready, Asset Management, and Centralized Engineering.     

The Data Analytics Analyst provides analytical and technical support to Power Delivery Construction leadership by transforming operational and financial data into actionable business insights. This role develops reporting, automation, and data-driven solutions that improve decision-making, increase efficiency, and support construction operations. Responsibilities include analyzing complex data, developing dashboards and reporting tools, automating recurring processes, and identifying opportunities for operational improvement.

The position partners closely with Construction Operations, Business Support, Supply Chain, Digital, and Technology teams to enhance business processes, reporting capabilities, and data quality. Field engagement may be required to develop an understanding of operational workflows and ensure solutions align with business needs. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between business operations and analytics by translating business requirements into practical, data-driven solutions and communicating insights to stakeholders across the organization.

The position will be filled at an exempt level, with the actual level dependent upon the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the selected candidate.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that support operational and financial decision-making

  • Extract, analyze, and interpret data from multiple systems to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities

  • Design and implement automated reporting and business process solutions that improve efficiency and data accuracy

  • Partner with Construction Operations, Supply Chain, Business Support, Digital, and Technology teams to address business challenges through analytics

  • Develop and maintain queries, scripts, and data solutions that enhance visibility into project costs, productivity, and resource utilization

  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance across reporting and analytical processes

  • Communicate analytical findings and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers

  • Support emerging analytics, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Complete special projects, ad hoc analyses as needed

  • Assist with storm restoration duties as needed
    JOB REQUIREMENTS
    Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
    EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data management, or a related analytical field preferred

  • Experience working with enterprise business systems and operational data sources (e.g., Maximo, Oracle, CAMP, financial systems, or similar platforms)

  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, solve problems, and support business decision-making

  • Proficiency with SQL and experience extracting, querying, and analyzing data from multiple sources

  • Experience using reporting, visualization, and automation tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, or similar technologies

  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and automated solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency

  • Understanding of data quality, governance, integration, and reporting best practices

  • Understanding of project financials, cost tracking, budgeting, and management reporting preferred

  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working within Agile or project-based delivery environments preferred

  • Strong communication, presentation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
