As a Business Analytics Lead within PNC's Regulatory Reporting organization, you could be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH or Birmingham, AL.
Position Overview:
This position sits within the Finance Regulatory Reporting organization and plays a key role in advancing regulatory reporting automation and data quality initiatives. While there will be some continued focus on post-conversion cleanup activities related to prior acquisitions, the primary emphasis of the role is on enhancing data processes, improving reporting efficiency, and supporting strategic regulatory reporting objectives.
The role requires a hands-on, technically strong individual who can work across data, systems, and regulatory requirements to deliver scalable automation and high-quality reporting outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Reporting Automation & Data Management (Primary Focus)
• Design, develop, and enhance automated data pipelines and reporting processes supporting key regulatory reports (e.g., FFIEC 031, FR Y-9C, FR Y-15, TIC, FR 009).
• Perform data analysis, reconciliations, and variance investigations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of regulatory reporting data.
• Translate regulatory reporting requirements into data and system solutions in partnership with subject matter experts.
• Support development and enhancement of reporting logic within Axiom or similar regulatory reporting platforms.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen data quality, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Contribute to documentation of data lineage, business rules, and control frameworks to support audit and regulatory expectations.
Post-Conversion / Integration Support (Secondary Focus)
• Support targeted data cleanup and remediation activities following prior acquisition integrations.
• Validate and reconcile legacy and integrated data to ensure alignment with regulatory reporting requirements.
• Partner with technology and data teams to resolve outstanding integration-related issues impacting reporting.
General Support & Collaboration
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technology, data, and regulatory reporting teams to support system enhancements and issue resolution.
• Execute and document testing (QA/UAT) to validate changes impacting regulatory reporting outputs.
• Support broader regulatory reporting initiatives, including remediation efforts, control enhancements, and strategic projects.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to query, transform, and analyze large datasets.
• Experience in data analysis, reconciliations, and QA/testing in a financial or data-intensive environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively across business, data, and technology teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with bank regulatory reporting (e.g., FFIEC 031, FR Y-9C, FR Y-15, TIC, FR 009 or similar).
• Familiarity with Axiom or other regulatory reporting platforms.
• Working knowledge of Python for data automation, analysis, or testing.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, data lineage, and source-to-target mapping.
• Understanding of regulatory reporting controls, governance, and data quality frameworks.

  • Consults with clients and mentors consultants on tool and strategy implementation and monitoring, statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product / solution development.
  • Determining the optimal analytic approach and supporting development, implementation and enhancements.
  • Assists peers with guidance on analytic approaches related to more complex solutions.
  • Conceptualizing, developing and continuously optimizing analytical solutions for business leadership to enable data driven decision making.
  • Analyze results and make recommendations for key business partners and senior management or communicate conclusions from complex analytical solutions to a wide range of audiences.
