Job description

MBA Intern, Pricing and Contracts Performance

Bring more to life.

Are you ready to accelerate your potential and make a real difference within life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology? At Integrated DNA Technologies and Aldevron, operating companies within Danaher's Life Sciences platform, our work enables discovery, development, and delivery of solutions that safeguard and improve human health.

You'll thrive in a culture of belonging where you and your unique viewpoint matter. And by harnessing Danaher's system of continuous improvement, you help turn ideas into impact - innovating at the speed of life.

Working across IDT and Aldevron means supporting customers at the forefront of genomics, synthetic biology, and advanced therapies. Our teams partner closely with commercial, finance, legal, operations, product, and customer-facing stakeholders to strengthen how pricing, contracts, and commercial performance are managed across complex B2B life sciences markets.

You will be able to continuously improve yourself and us by applying business, analytical, and commercial strategy skills to challenges that matter. Through exposure to the Danaher Business System, you will help convert data, process improvement, and stakeholder input into practical recommendations that support pricing maturity, contract lifecycle performance, and margin improvement.

The MBA Intern, Pricing and Contracts Performance will support strategic initiatives across IDT and Aldevron focused on price realization, discount governance, contract lifecycle insights, and commercial agreement performance. This internship is designed for a high-potential MBA candidate who wants hands-on experience at the intersection of commercial strategy, finance, commercial operations, legal, and life sciences innovation.

This position reports to the Director of Pricing and Contracts and is part of the combined IDT and Aldevron Pricing and Contracts organization. The role may support stakeholders across multiple business functions and locations, with the working arrangement to be determined based on business need.

What you will do:

Analyze pricing, discounting, margin, renewal, and contract performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across IDT and Aldevron.

Support development of performance dashboards, standard work, and management reporting that improve visibility into price realization, contract compliance, turnaround time, and commercial agreement health.

Partner with Pricing, Contracts, Finance, Sales, Legal, Product Management, Commercial Operations, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into practical analytics and process recommendations.

Assist with contract lifecycle performance initiatives which may include renewal tracking, pricing schedule discipline, annual price increase support, customer agreement analytics, and exception monitoring.

Help compare IDT and Aldevron pricing practices and support alignment opportunities across tools, data models, workflows, approval processes, and performance metrics.

Prepare clear executive-ready summaries, recommendations, and final project deliverables that communicate findings, business impact, and proposed next steps.

Who you are:

Currently pursuing an MBA or related graduate degree with a focus in business, finance, strategy, analytics, marketing, or a related discipline.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and convert findings into business recommendations.

Comfortable working with commercial, financial, operational, and process data; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create concise executive-level summaries and present recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.

Ability to manage ambiguity, organize work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment.

Demonstrated interest in pricing strategy, commercial operations, contract lifecycle management, business transformation, or the life sciences industry.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Experience with data visualization, dashboarding, or analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, or similar platforms.

Exposure to pricing, revenue management, finance, consulting, commercial excellence, contract management, deal desk, sales operations, or quote-to-cash processes.

Familiarity with Salesforce, contract lifecycle management systems, ERP data, or commercial reporting environments.

Prior experience or coursework in biotechnology, diagnostics, genomics, pharmaceutical services, CDMO, or other life sciences markets.

Experience applying structured problem-solving, continuous improvement, Kaizen, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.

The compensation rate for this role is $4,250 biweekly. This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the rate of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
