Veterinary Technician Job Summary

We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our team. You will support our veterinarians and during examinations and medical treatments and provide direct care to our animal patients. Candidates must be comfortable working with a variety of animals and know how to retrain them properly for evaluation and procedures. You also need to be familiar with proper cleaning and sanitizing techniques to ensure our facility is safe for our clients.

Veterinary Technician Requirements and Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology, animal science, or a related field from an accredited program
  • 1+ years of veterinary experience
  • Working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
  • Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to restrain larger pets when necessary
