Job description

We have partnered with a highly rated and award wining locally owned CPA and advisory services firm to find a high quality Tax Manager or Tax Senior Manager in the Bethesda Maryland area.

This firm works with multiple local and regional business clients as well as high profile personal clients for a variety of tax and advisory needs, with a wide range of revenue and in a variety of industries, mostly private LLCs, S-Corps, and C-Corps.

This is a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment where you can lead, make important decisions for clients, and perform tax review work for dozens of regionally based businesses.

Position Summary:

  • Work independently and with the management staff to work with an assigned group of clients across multiple industries
  • Advise business clients on multiple tax issues, planning, research and compliance
  • Prep and review (largely review) tax returns for multiple entities including C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and Trusts
  • Work with key clients for business advisory and tax decisions
  • Supervise and train junior tax personnel
  • Help when needed for local business events networking and fostering relationships

Job Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of tax prep and review experience with various entities
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent- stats, Business, Finance)
  • Masters in tax or Masters in accounting would be a great plus, although not required
  • CPA is not required but highly appreciated or CPA / EA in progress or EA in hand
  • High level of tax skills, organization, and analytical skills
  • Work in a tight deadline environment for getting tax returns finalized

Pay and benefits:

  • $120,000-$150,000 salary annually, commensurate with experience
