Baptist Health System - San Antonio TX is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapist Supervisor for a job in Nacogdoches, Texas.

DESCRIPTION

Assists Rehabilitation Director or Manager with coordination of physical, occupational and/or speech therapy operations, including performing treatments within the professionals respective practice act, as prescribed by a referring physician.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains performance improvement activities and participates in CQI activities. Assures competency of personnel within scope of professionals respective practice act. Assists in formulating budget, evaluates performance versus budget and takes appropriate action to remain within budgetary guidelines. Develops and implements systems of reviewing occupational therapy and speech therapy charges and ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Required: Bachelor's degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech and language pathology
Preferred: Master's degree in physical therapy, or masters degree in a related field

Experience:

Preferred: 1 year in healthcare management

Certifications:

Required: Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, or Speech Language Pathologist, as required by State law. AHA BLS.
