Psychiatric Nursing Unit Manager – Adolescents

Oregon City, Oregon, United States

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Manager – Psych-Adolescent to lead clinical operations at our hospital in Oregon City. This role is accountable for the 24/7 operations of the adolescent psychiatric unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care while fostering a safe, healing, and compassionate environment for patients and staff.

The Nurse Manager will lead and develop interdisciplinary teams, drive operational excellence, and collaborate across departments to achieve strategic goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both patient outcomes and caregiver engagement in a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the adolescent psychiatric unit, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and clinical standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop staff to build effective, collaborative teams.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient care and safety.
  • Manage staffing, resources, and budgets effectively while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity, engagement, and accountability among team members.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).
  • Minimum of 5 years in nursing with progressive leadership experience.
  • At least 1 year of hospital psychiatric unit management/supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Formal coursework or training in management, finance, or administrative subjects.
  • National Certification in relevant clinical specialty.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex clinical teams in a hospital setting.
